UFC on ESPN 2 video: Josh Emmett knocks Michael Johnson out cold

Josh Emmett didn’t just make his return to the UFC Octagon, he kicked the door down in violent fashion.

On Saturday night, more than one year removed from his last fight, Emmett squared off against longtime UFC veteran Michael Johnson on the main card of UFC on ESPN 2. After two rounds of fighting, the crowd inside the Wells Fargo Center began to voice their displeasure at what they perceived as a lack of action.

But, with a little less than one left in the contest, Emmett sent the crowd into a frenzy as he separated Johnson from his senses with a picture perfect overhand right to the jaw.

For Emmett (14-2), this marked his first bout since being finished by Jeremy Stephens at UFC on FOX 28 in February 2018. Following the fight, the Team Alpha Male product was forced to undergo facial surgery for a myriad of hellacious injuries, including fractures to his nasal bone, zygomatic arch and orbital bones.

Johnson (19-14), on the other hand, saw his two-fight wins streak snapped.
