Jamahal Hill makes case for both Yair Rodriguez and Josh Emmett in upcoming interim title fight

Yair Rodriguez vs. Josh Emmett is a fascinating matchup that is set to take place for the interim UFC featherweight title, and Jamahal Hill has detailed how both men can come out on top in the highly-anticipated clash.

The pair of 145ers are coming into the bout on the back of wins against Brian Ortega and Calvin Kattar respectively, lining them up for arguably the biggest fights of their careers. The winner will be next in line to face Alexander Volkanovski, who is currently attempting to capture the lightweight championship in two weeks' time.

While discussing the upcoming interim featherweight title fight, Jamahal Hill shared his opinion on the two athletes, insisting that both Yair Rodriguez and Josh Emmett have a clear path to victory in this outing.

"If it goes to decision, I'd probably have to go Yair, but Emmett, he throws those f***ing shots, dude... The power and the way that Josh Emmett throws those shots, one if he catches Yair, he's gonna drop him, and two you can very well possibly have him not want to engage... [The] speed goes to Yair... It depends on the game plan. If Yair's game plan is sticking and moving, then I'll probably go Yair. But if he thinks he's just going to go in and try to knock out Emmett or just try to bang with him, I'm going Josh Emmett."

Last time out, 'Sweet Dreams' managed to capture light heavyweight gold after a five-round war against Glover Teixeira, becoming the first competitor to claim a belt in the UFC originating from the Contender Series.

Check out what Jamahal Hill had to say about the featherweight brawl in the video below.
